A DETAILED DEMONSTRATION OF ALL FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE EQUIPMENT INCLUDING :
• The handling of a high lift jack in all conditions
• Use of all tools
• Unfolding and repacking of roof top tent
• Usage of GPS and satellite telephone
• Demonstration of how and where all items are packed
• Use of 4x4 equipment in a breakdown; what to do and what not to do
• Correct procedures when changing a tyre
• Correct usage of towrope and snatch rope
• What to do when the vehicle is bogged down in sand, mud or water
DRIVING ON THE ROADS IN BOTSWANA AND ITS WILDLIFE PARKS
• Road conditions in Botswana and speed limits
• Using four-wheel drive and the correct application of gearing
• Correct application of diff-locks
• Ascents and descents
• Crossing water
• Driving in sand and mud

• Basic vehicle maintenance in the bush
